Snow Performance Stage 2 boost cooler, This kit uses manifold boost pressure to determine when and how much fluid to inject. Proportionally injecting according to boost pressure gives the most accurate delivery of water-methanol and allows the most cooling and performance improvement over the widest range. More power and driveability is the result. It can be used on any forced induction engine: carbureted, fuel injected, turbocharged, positive displacement or centrifugal blowers. The most suitable are the centrifugal supercharged and turbocharged engines, as they build boost is a more progressive manner concerning water-methanol injection. The positive displacement blower engines will work, but it might take more work to dial in the delivery. For higher boost applications (over 25psi), the controller can be upgraded to our VC100 unit. Methanol & Water Injection is a great way to increase horse power safely & it works very well on both forced induction & N/A (non-turbo) applications. Introducing water & methanol into the combustion chamber drastically cools the incoming air charge & the combustion process. By cooling this process, it decreases the chances of detonation & auto-ignition. (the most common reason why turbo engines blow up) Because the charge has been cooled so much due to the water & methanol injection, it allows you to increase boost levels safely & thus, make more HP. The cooler charge it's self will also increase HP because cooler air is more dense & allows more fuel to be added. (a big advantage for N/A engines) More air, more fuel, more HP. The next big advantage is that the methanol & water injection increase your fuel's octane level. Now it's like using race fuel all the time with 92 or 93 pump gas in your tank! Result... you can safely increase you boost pressure even more & the outcome is a very large jump in HP output. Safer & producing more HP... what's not to like about water & methanol injection?!
